2018 BMW X3 M40i pricing

For this review I tested the X3 M40i, a sport-tuned version of the SUV. As tested, the X3 M40i has a $65,245 price tag, a little over $10,000 more than the X3 M40i base model.

The M Sport Package includes the M Aerodynamic kit, 19- or 20-inch wheels, a M Sport leather steering wheel, M door sill finishers, and a SensaTec upholstered dashboard. The X3 M40i I tested came with a number of optional features that pushed its price tag up including Apple CarPlay ($300); a wireless phone charger ($500); heated front and rear seats ($350); the Driving Assistance package with blind-spot monitoring and lane-departure warning ($900); the Premium package with navigation, a head-up display, and a heated steering wheel ($2,950); the Executive package with gesture-based infotainment controls, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, self-parking system, and a 360-degree camera ($2,550); M Adaptive suspension ($700); Phytonic Blue Metallic paint ($550); and 20-inch M double-spoke bi-color wheels with performance run-flat tires ($950).

The 2018 BMW X3 M40i fulfills all its obligations as a family hauler but its potent powertrain makes your time behind the wheel much more fun. It makes you want to go have adventures, road trip, and put the pedal down on the highway all while staying connected and comfortable.
