The games in the Forza Horizon series haven’t always lived up to the reputation of the Forza Motorsports series of games. That’s not without good reason. However, Forza Horizon 3 has moved the bar forward for racing games, especially on the Xbox One and Xbox One S.

The open-world racing works well, meaning you can participate in the missions of the game, or you can just go explore. The Blizzard Mountain expansion, while not making a whole lot of sense in Australia, adds some photorealistic snow and blizzard conditions to the mix. The game’s visuals are stunning.

Here’s more about the game;

  • Forza Horizon 3 Standard Edition includes the full game and the Forza Hub App
  • Explore Australia, the Horizon Festival’s largest, most beautiful and diverse open world ever
  • Be the boss of your own Horizon Festival. Customize every aspect of your game. Hire and fire friends to win you fans, or invite them to join in the all-new 4 player online campaign co-op
  • Discover thrilling new driving gameplay like Danger Sign Jumps, Convoys, and Drift Zones
  • Xbox One Console Exclusive

It might not be the best racing simulation game ever made, but if you’re looking for hours and hours of fun, both in a single player mode and online, it’s hard to argue with Forza Horizon 3 on the Xbox. That’s why it’s the best overall racing game on our list.

But that game is often riddled with delays; Forza Motorsports 6 you can play today. And for that reason, it’s our best racing simulation game that you can buy.
