Forced Induction Shown Off in Challenger Demon Video

Last week — sorry we’re late on this — Dodge released another teaser video about the 2018 Challenger Demon. This video, called ‘Forced Induction’ shows off the massive air intake on the hood, plus a set of ‘Air Catcher’ headlamps.

Keeping a big, high-horsepower engine cool is hard. It’s even more difficult when you’re sitting in a staging lane at a drag strip, where no air is running over the car at all. Dodge has prided themselves on their cars being able to go to the drag strip and work flawlessly all day. It appears they have similar goals for Demon.

The video shows off the headlights that have holes in both of them to get airflow into the engine compartment. It appears there are intakes behind them to ensure the coldest air possible makes it into the engine for combustion.

We’re eagerly-awaiting the next video (which we’ll share shortly since we were so late on getting this one live) and also the big reveal at the 2017 New York Auto Show!
