Nissan teases first image of new Leaf

Amazing things are worth waiting for.

The Nissan Leaf is one of the pioneering electric cars in the United States. It’s affordable, practical transportation in a car that looked like it was from the literal future. Whether you loved it or hated it, you knew what it was driving down the road.

But the Leaf is getting long in the proverbial tooth. Because of that, plus increasing competition from the likes of Chevrolet and Hyundai, a new Leaf is coming. Today, Nissan gave us our first glimpse of what the new Leaf will look like.

While they say the vehicle will debut later this year, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it shown at the green-focused LA Auto Show in November.

If the rest of the car looks as cool as the headlight, they might be on to something!
