Photo of the Day: Second Gen V-dubs


The 80’s were… interesting; not too power focused, also not too looks focused. Performance? Handling? Fuel economy? Maybe that one. Kind of makes you wonder what manufacturers were really going for.

Pictured is a mid-80’s, second generation (B2) Volkswagen Passat with a modern day twist. Some “JDM” touches, such as the Accuair suspension that lowered the wagon a few inches and the BBS wheels. This vehicle some comes straight out of China, and owner Jeffrey Li has added some really clean touches to what was once a wagon carrying groceries 30 years ago.
