Pirelli debuts new all-terrain tire for SUVs and trucks

Need on-road performance but want a tire that is still capable off-road? Pirelli has unveiled the new Scorpion All Terrain Plus at SEMA 2017 and claims it fits the bill.

The tire is specifically designed for SUVs and light trucks, and features an aggressive tread pattern and upper sidewall design. The Scorpion All Terrain Plus’s new generation tread compound is optimized for durability, traction, and wear. The tire is resistant to cutting and chipping, which is especially important to appeal to off-roaders. Pirelli boasts the Scorpion All Terrain Plus has “excellent snow traction” and performs well in mud as well.

“The new Scorpion™ All Terrain Plus reflects Pirelli’s continued commitment to offering tires developed specifically for the North American Market,” said Ian Coke, Chief Technical Officer for Pirelli Tire North America. “This tire combines our advanced compound and design technology with an aggressive appearance to provide light truck and SUV owners with a durable, high performing driving experience through a wide range of challenging on or off-road conditions.”

Each Scorpion All Terrain tire will be sold with a 50,0000-mile Treadwear warranty in North America.
