Want to Wheel On and Off-Road? Head to JP Dirt N Drive

Dirt N Drive Caravan 2016

We’re fans of off-roading here, if you haven’t been able to tell from our review of the 2017 Ford Raptor. We also like Jeeps, and whenever we get in one for review we make sure to get the use out of it. One event that you can take part in to get the most out of your Jeep is the JP Dirt N Drive from Las Vegas to Moab, Utah.

This year, Bestop is sponsoring the event again. Here’s all the details if you’re interested in going!

LOUISVILLE, Colo. – Bestop(r), the manufacturer of premium Jeep(r) and truck products, proudly announced its sponsorship of the 2017 JP Dirt N Drive presented by Jeep. The one-of-a-kind four-wheeling event organized by JP Magazine takes place April 6-9, 2017, and includes a caravan of 100 Jeeps that makes its way through the scenic landscapes of southeastern Utah. The on- and off-road adventure takes more than 250 participants over highways and rugged dirt roads from Las Vegas to Moab, Utah.

As the Official Jeep Soft Top of the Dirt N Drive, Bestop will participate in the drive, have its brand displayed on event apparel and vehicles, and be on hand at each stop to answer questions about its full line of soft tops. Bestop will showcase its new Trektop(tm) NX Glide and other leading premium Jeep soft tops throughout the weekend.  The Trektop NX Glide adds folding functionality and zipperless technology to the best-selling Trektop(tm) NX.

The trip kicks off Thursday, April 6, 2017, with registration and a Jeep show in Las Vegas at Sam’s Town resort and gambling hall.  There’s plenty of activity planned at the gathering with sponsor and vendor booths, swag bags full of goodies for participants, and a meet and greet social.  Drivers take to the road Friday morning for three days of four-wheel action and fun.  On Sunday, April 9, Bestop’s National Sales Director Jim Chick and Social Media Manager Cassie Hughes will lead the Jeep caravan on the last leg of the trip into Moab.  The excursion wraps up with a BBQ dinner and party hosted by Jeep with remarks by Rick Péwé, editor of JP magazine. The Dirt N Drive comes to a close just in time for the 51st Easter Jeep Safari, which begins the same weekend.

“Events like the JP Dirt N Drive are like family reunions for the Jeep community,” said Garett Graubins, Bestop’s Director of Marketing.  “Bestop is devoted to developing the best soft tops in the market for Jeep enthusiasts and we are excited to be a part of an incredible event that celebrates the Jeep lifestyle.”
